EC635 with improved cockpit design
Hey guys, here´s a EC 635 with a cockpit that looks a little bit more like the real one - of course I couldn´t change too much with GIMP, but MasterChiefRulez gave me a very useful tutorial how to edit cockpit display textures. Furthermore, I changed all the flightdynamics of this birdie and added a more realistic cockpit ambient sound + more realistic rotor blurr. Have fun, guys!

This helicopter was heavily modified by bluehawk112 in terms of: -completely new flightdynamics (with AUTOHOVER) -new weapons with guided missiles etc. -added copilot and passengers - added some music, you can replace it in the tweak file if you don´t like it (exchange "ah64Music.ogg" with "105flightinmulti.ogg") Credits to Emaozipujing for porting the helicopter model. This was a time consuming and sophisticated piece of work -because the flight model was pretty much f***ked up before I made all the necessary changes in flight dynamics. I also found out how to get a AUTOHOVER function which you can use with other helicopters, too- just read the readme file inside...

ATTENTION: THERE ARE MORE TYPES: INSTEAD OF "gb_the_lynx" YOU CAN ALSO USE: - arg_the_lynx_mk23 - gb_the_lynx_alt - gb_the_lynx_has2 - gb_the_lynx_l7a2 - gb_the_lynx_l7a2_alt Ingame position your helicopter into AUTOHOVER position (flying with zero speed and 1-2 degrees nose up attitude) and then use CAMERA CHANGE BUTTON. Now you can guide your missiles where you´re looking at. Look to your target and press fire button...

These huey helicopters -now for vanilla BF2- were heavily modified by bluehawk112 in terms of: -new flightdynamics -added: pilot controlled fixed GAU miniguns for the us_ahe_uh1nrockets -added external missile launchers(unguided missiles for the us_the_uh1n) -added some music -more passengers Credits to PR mod devs for the UH-1N helicopter models -very nice models! I made so many changes on this helo - I can´t tell them all. Most important: helo has a new collision mesh (from another helicopter) because the old one caused crashes to desktop. There are 2 versions in separate zip folders, one has a target designation gimmick (made by me :-))for the pilot to designate targets for his (bot-)copilot. The bot-copilot will take care of your designated targets then, LOL. The other version has a headtracked guided missile and a headtracked gun for the pilot instead. As usual, I changed all flightdynamics and weapons, have fun guys, give me some comments if you like

This battlehawk helicopter was heavily modified by bluehawk112 in terms of: -new collisionmesh given (from regular usthe_uh60), old one caused CTDs -completely new flightdynamics -new armament with headtracked gun and headtracked guided missiles -added more passengers -AUTOHOVER function (1-2 degrees nose up with zero speed ---> you will get AUTOHOVER) Useful hint: use camera change button while hovering in AUTOHOVER, select first missile, look around for your target without moving the nose of the helicopter. When target is spotted, fire the missile(PIAltFire). The missile will fly to the spot you´re looking at. Same applies to your gun (PIFire)which is also controlled by headtracking. This Mi8 attack helicopter was heavily modified by bluehawk112 in terms of: -completely new flightdynamics -new collisionmesh (from a merlin helicopter), old one caused frame rate problems on my pc (the original one is still in the meshes folder in case you want to check it out, has to be renamed then..) -new armament with bomblets, guided and headtracked guided missiles,fixed nose gun, Air to Air missiles and rockets -added more passengers -AUTOHOVER function (1-2 degrees nose up with zero speed ---> you will get AUTOHOVER) Useful hint: use camera change button while hovering in AUTOHOVER, select first missile, look around for your target without moving the nose of the helicopter. This ahe_ka50 helicopter was modified by bluehawk112 in terms of: -completely new flightdynamics (again with AUTOHOVER) -new armament including headtracked missiles and bombs -converting the armament to work without any new weapon HUDs or any new gui indices - it´s working purely with vanilla bf2 without further hassle :-)Useful hints: Weapon handling differs quite a lot this time from all the other helicopters which were modified by me: Use weapons most effectively like this: 1. Fly into AUTOHOVER POSITION (1-2 degrees nose up, zero speed) 2. Scroll and select desired weapon 3. PRESS ALT FIRE TO SWITCH ON WEAPON CAMERA 4. MOUSELOOK AROUND TO FIND YOUR TARGET(S) 5. USE CAMERACHANGE BUTTON FOR ZOOM IN/ZOOM OUT 6. KILL TARGET BY PRESSING FIRE BUTTON (not alt fire this time ;-)) 7. PRESS ALT FIRE TO SWITCH BACK TO COCKPIT VIEW It´s not that hard, you just have to get used to it ;-) Have fun guys! Credits to 3DArtist (BFSP) for making this outstanding helicopter model

This Viper helicopter was heavily modified by bluehawk112 in terms of: -completely new flightdynamics -new armament with headtracked guided missiles, headtracked gun, Air to Air missiles and rockets -AUTOHOVER function (1-2 degrees nose up with zero speed ---> you will get AUTOHOVER)Useful hint: use camera change button while hovering in AUTOHOVER, select either hellfire missile, look around for your target without moving the nose of the helicopter. When target is spotted, fire the missile(PIAltFire). It will fly to the spot you´re looking at. Same applies to your headtracked gun (PIFire). Looking very nice when FLIR is selected ;-) The first selectable hellfire has an "on top" approach, the next selectable hellfire has a direct approach to where you´re looking at. Especially the first hellfire is limited to the front sector of view. You will always have a dead sector to the sides and immediately in front of you. The missile can´t reach targets in these dead sectors
